Roberts Legacy Society

The Roberts Legacy Society is an honorary society for donors who have notified us that they have created a gift for the University in their will or living trust, or named us a beneficiary of a retirement or investment account, or have a life income gift for the University such as a Charitable Gift Annuity or Remainder Trust.
The Roberts Legacy Society is named for Alexander C. Roberts, the 3rd President of what was then called San Francisco State College. His 18-year presidency began in 1927 and went through 1945. It was under President Roberts' leadership that SF State College purchased the 56 acres of land of our current site by Lake Merced so as to replace the cramped, aging building of the old campus just off Market Street.
We named our Legacy Society for an individual who had a strong vision for the future of San Francisco State University because we believe that our Roberts Legacy Society members, through their giving, also have a strong vision for the future, a vision that will benefit future generations of students and faculty.
If you'd like to become a member of the Roberts Legacy Society by telling us about your gift, please contact us at [email protected].
